中文摘要:为明确以雪莲果和烟草为寄主植物繁育的丽蚜小蜂Encarsia formosa寄生潜能差异的原因,对2种寄主植物繁育的丽蚜小蜂的个体大小、卵子发生及卵巢管数量进行测定。结果表明:以雪莲果为寄主植物繁育的丽蚜小蜂头宽、体长和后足胫节长度均显著大于烟草繁育的丽蚜小蜂;以雪莲果为寄主植物繁育的丽蚜小蜂在羽化后的平均总卵量、成熟卵量及其占比均显著高于烟草繁育的丽蚜小蜂;同时,以雪莲果为寄主植物繁育的丽蚜小蜂卵巢管数为9.12根,显著高于以烟草为寄主植物繁育的7.92根,且卵巢管数量超过9根的个体占比高达42.00%,显著高于烟草组的14.00%;以雪莲果和烟草为寄主植物繁育的丽蚜小蜂的个体大小均与初羽化时成蜂体内的总卵量呈正相关,相关系数分别为0.91和0.90。表明以雪莲果为寄主植物繁育的丽蚜小蜂寄生潜能高与其在个体大小及卵子数量上更具优势相关。

Abstract:To elucidate the mechanisms underlying the differential parasitic potential of the parasitic wasp Encarsia formosa reared on Smallanthus sonchifolius versus Nicotiana tabacum, this study systematically measured and compared key biological parameters including body size, oogenesis, and ovariole number between the two host-plant-reared populations. Comparative analyses revealed that E. formosa populations reared on S. sonchifolius exhibited significantly larger morphological dimensions (head width, body length, and hind tibia length) than those on N. tabacum. Wasps reared on S. sonchifolius demonstrated superior reproductive performance, showing significantly higher values in total egg load, mature egg count, and mature egg proportion upon emergence. Notably, their ovariole number averaged 9.12, significantly exceeding the 7.92 observed in N. tabacum-reared populations, with 42.00% of individuals possessing >9 ovarioles compared to only 14.00% in the N. tabacum-reared group. A strong positive correlation was identified between body size and total egg load at emergence in both groups (R=0.91 for S. sonchifolius, R=0.90 for N. tabacum). These findings suggest that that the enhanced parasitic potential of E. formosa reared on S. sonchifolius stems from its advantages in both morphological development and reproductive capacity.
